MoU: MaaS Alliance – ITxPT

ITxPT and MaaS Alliance proudly announce the signature of a MoU to develop and promote interoperability between systems to facilitate the creation of an Open Mobility Ecosystem, especially to foster the development of Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS).

ITxPT and MaaS Alliance are non-profit organisations, both working to build more efficient, sustainable, and attractive mobility offers for all travellers. In doing so, they both promote interoperability between systems to facilitate the creation of an Open Mobility Ecosystem, especially to foster the development of Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS).

Via this MoU, both organisations will facilitate their cooperation and will join forces to build and support:

  • Interoperability between data standards and specifications
  • All MaaS stakeholders in their effort to produce, access, and collect open mobility data
  • The improvement of quality for all available mobility data
  • The deployment of European regulations related to mobility data and digital services that are relevant to MaaS stakeholders
  • The dissemination and adoption of existing open-source tools and resources that benefit public authorities

Roelof Hellemans, Secretary General of the MaaS Alliance, has expressed great satisfaction for the start of this collaboration. “All our common activities and actions will be in the pursuit of an Open Mobility Ecosystem that enables travellers (users) to make the most sustainable multimodal mobility choice for them.”

Anders Selling, Secretary General of ITxPT, has echoed the statement and shared how excited his team is to start building interoperability for all IT systems across the industry with such a great partner.
