Update of the MaaS Alliance position on MDMS

Between 22 and 24 of May the MaaS Alliance participated in the ITS European Congress in Lisbon. We had many objectives to achieve, but one of the most important was aligning with MaaS Alliance Members, private and public stakeholders and the European Commission delegation about the Multimodal Digital Mobility Services (MDMS).

We joined (and moderated) several Special Interest Sessions on this topic, we discussed the MDMS during our MaaS Alliance side event and we had the chance to network and discuss the topic with a great number of stakeholders.

All  stakeholders agreed on the same mindset, which has provided us with the right direction to follow: to realise the Green Deal, we need to focus on the output and the way we offer mobility options to users. The MDMS and MMTIS initiatives are needed to make sure all stakeholders are working together with the same rules and with the best willingness to cooperate.

We collaborated on our initial Position Paper at the beginning of the year (which then turned into a Letter sent to the Commission) and compared it now with the output coming from the various focus areas during the ITS. With such fruitful discussions in mind, we have just published an update of our position on these topics. We invite you all to read our latest release.
