MaaS Alliance re-welcomes Siemens Mobility as new member

Brussels, 23 February 2023 – The MaaS Alliance, a public-private partnership driving the rollout of Mobility as a Service worldwide, is expanding its membership and is very pleased to welcome back Siemens Mobility as its member.

Siemens Mobility empowers operators to shape today’s and tomorrow’s passenger and freight transportation ‒ with trains, infrastructure, automation and electrification solutions, turnkey systems as well as related services and software. With its rigorous focus on digitalisation, Siemens Mobility enables mobility operators worldwide to make their infrastructure sustainable, comfortable and cost-effective. Moreover, Siemens Mobility seeks to enhance customer experiences and offers solutions for a more sustainable and user-friendly mobility: the company’s unique software portfolio includes not only Mobility as a Service (MaaS) solutions and journey planners, mobile ticketing, on-demand transport but also train planning, fleet management, data analytics, inventory and reservation management- systems. This partnership will accelerate digitalisation of MaaS and will bring great benefits and expertise to the MaaS Alliance community.

In the MaaS Alliance, Siemens Mobility is a known member and we are happy to re-welcome them. We kept in contact as we aim to understand the needs of all our members, past and present, to attract future ones. For the MaaS Alliance it is important to improve the engagement and focus on the right output. The MaaS Alliance and Siemens Mobility aligned on the direction to take and agreed on a focus area of common interest: deployment and a neutral position between Private and Public authorities

“I know Siemens Mobility very well. Based on the previous membership, and thanks to the open and honest discussions, we were able to win back Siemens Mobility as MaaS Alliance member. I see great benefits in re-launching this partnership. Such discussions are relevant in order to understand whether we are doing the right things and we are working on the right output. I am happy that we could align on our roadmap and I am more than thrilled to have one very important market player back on board to improve our work”, says Roelof Hellemans, Secretary General of the MaaS Alliance.
