Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia / Brussels, Belgium, 27 August – MaaS Alliance welcomes Kharitah as the first Middle Eastern. This milestone underscores the Alliance’s continued commitment to expanding horizons globally.
Kharitah is building a grid-based digital infrastructure layer that empowers cities and regions to seamlessly connect and collaborate. With a people-first approach, they are redefining urban mobility by making cities more interoperable and responsive to real-time needs.
Their daily map application transforms maps into dynamic ecosystems that support multimodal urban mobility, enabling residents, travellers, and transport providers to access and contribute to a live, data-driven mobility experience, all while respecting local data governance.
Aligned with the goals of the MaaS Alliance, Kharitah embraces the principles of Mobility as a Service by enabling seamless integration of diverse mobility options into a unified, user-centric interface, bringing MaaS to life at scale across regions.
“We’re committed to developing a grid-based digital infrastructure for cities and regions, alongside a daily map application that transforms maps into living ecosystems,” said Haya Alabdullatif, Chief Executive Officer of Kharitah. “Our goal is to align this with the principles of MaaS. By joining the Alliance, we aim to incorporate the knowledge and insights we gain into our own solutions, while also contributing by bringing the Alliance’s outcomes to life in applications designed for the public”.
“Digital infrastructure is the key input to managing Mobility. Not just to define the Public Domain, but also to influence the way we use the Public Domain. I am happy to see Kharitah as a new member. Their expertise and knowledge are focused on the digital infrastructure. I look forward to sharing and collaborating with Kharitah and all the MaaS Alliance members to learn and improve the way we can manage Mobility”, expressed Roelof Hellemans, MaaS Alliance Secretary General.
