Many solutions and business models are being proposed across the world to provide users with a range of sustainable mobility services closely tailored to their demands. ‘Mobility as a Service’ and ‘Mobility on Demand’ is designed to offer means of easy personal movement that are more accessible to people, more inclusive and less detrimental to the environment. But a number of challenges remain in expanding the potential and applicability of MaaS/MoD. For example, are there sustainable business cases and governance models that address social and economic impacts while meeting the goals for widely available and accessible user-focussed mobility? This forum will explore whether these solutions can also help us reduce transport’s environmental impact. And what developments might we expect by 2030?
