Popular TIER electric scooters now available on Whim

After proving popular in over 50 cities across Europe, TIER electric scooters are soon going to be added to Whim mobility app. Whim users will have access to electric scooters in early February in Vienna, Austria, and Helsinki, Finland. “The city bikes available through Whim have been a very popular part of our service in Finland. At the same time our users have been asking us to add electric scooters, so it’s great that we’re able to add them now. Electric scooters and other options for micro-mobility are a growing sector of the sharing economy, adding flexibility to more traditional public transit services,” says MaaS Global’s CEO and founder Sampo Hietanen.

TIER is Europe’s leading micro-mobility company and is growing quickly, operating already in three cities in Finland, Helsinki, Turku, and Tampere, and five cities in Austria – Vienna, Linz, Klagenfurt, Villach and Innsbruck. “With the integration into the Whim App, we are taking the next big step towards linking our e-scooters with public transport and multimodality. Together with Whim it is our goal to pave the way for seamless and sustainable mobility that is accessible to all”, says Lawrence Leuschner, CEO and co-founder of TIER Mobility. In both Vienna and Helsinki, using a TIER scooter through Whim will cost the same as through TIER’s own app: an unlock-fee of one euro, 0,20 euros per minute for Vienna and 0,25 euros per minute in Helsinki.
