JCoMaaS is an organization established to lead innovation to mobility and city services. JCoMaaS shares industry and government knowledge related to Mobility as a Service (MaaS) and mobility services in Japan. The Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) launched a new Mobility Service Division in July 2019 to promote MaaS in Japan and abroad. Transport Research Centre Verne at Tampere University is a research group of about 10 professionals in transport and logistics. Verne networks actively both internationally and in Finland. Our core is to endeavour towards a more sustainable transport system and to educate professionals in this field. Verne’s research and education focus on transport systems and logistics. We consider both passenger and freight transport in connection with the needs of people, business and society at large, the built environment and the infrastructure, transport policy and economics, and the development especially from the point of view of sustainability. Verne has organized International Conference on Mobility as a Service (ICoMaaS) twice in the years 2017 and 2019 in Tampere, Finland. Verne’s MaaS-related research activities relate especially to the end-user perspective and MaaS’ effects on the transport system.
