Arriva

Arriva are a leading provider of passenger transport services in Europe and delivered around 1.2 billion passenger journeys in 2020. We operate in 14 European countries and provide a range of services including bus, train, tram, ferry, and car and bike sharing. Every day, around 46,000 Arriva employees provide customers with high quality and cost-effective services that meet their needs. Arriva are part of Deutsche Bahn (DB), one of the world’s leading passenger and logistics companies, and are responsible for DB’s regional passenger transport services outside Germany.

Meep

Meep is a MaaS solution provider that can be found in many different cities and integrates all available modes of transport (public and private) into a single platform, and allows users to combine different modes of transport in one route. With this solution users can search for, reserve and pay for trips in one transaction. Meep also aims to improve the quality of the service offered by operators and municipalities.

Metro de Medellin

Since the beginning of its operation, the state-owned company Metro de Medellin has become one of Aburra Valley’s references in improving the quality of life of the inhabitants of the Aburrá Valley. Today, Metro is an industrial and commercial exemple of state-owned company part of the 100 most reputable companies countrywide according to the Merco Empresas ranking.

University of Oregon

Urbanism Next explores the multi-level impacts emerging technologies such as MaaS, New Mobility, Autonomous Vehicles and E-Commerce are having on urban areas. New and novel developments in mobility and e-commerce are affecting land use, urban design, building design, transportation, and real estate. The changes have significant potential implications for equity, health and safety, the economy, and the environment. Through our research, convening, and outreach, Urbanism Next’s multi-disciplinary team develops policy frameworks and strategies for decision-makers, researchers, and communities to harness emerging technologies in ways that achieve community

Buenos Aires

The Department of Transportation and Public Works focuses on a variety of projects and policies which seek to impulse sustainability, accessibility, road safety, diversity and gender via different mobility and infrastructural works in the city of Buenos Aires. The planning, evaluation and management of different initiatives form part of the everyday tasks of the department which, in turn, help to impulse the development in the everyday use of different technologies, access to public transport, the uptake in cycling and pedestrianisation, increased focus on road safety and the reduction of greenhouse gases. The department also focuses on the incorporation of hydraulic works which seek to better prepare the public space for the challenges brought about by climate change and promote the enjoyment of these areas by the city’s residents, helping to create a more resilient and sustainable city.

Victoria DoT

The Victorian Government’s integrated transport department plans, builds, operates and maintains an integrated, sustainable and safe transport system to meet the needs of people and freight that travel on it, both now and into the future. On 1 July 2019, VicRoads and Public Transport Victoria came together with the Department of Transport to create a properly integrated transport department – in step with other global cities.

Taiwan Institute of Transportation

The Institute of Transportation was created in January  1985 by merging the Transportation Planning Board with the former Institute of Traffic Research, which had the mandate to conduct traffic research and personnel training, and manage battlefield equipment and supplies. The missions of the Institute are as follows: studying transportation policies and providing suggestions; coordinating planning, evaluation and project programming of transportation systems; studying the interrelationships among transportation development, political functions, socio-economic activities, and national defense; designing, researching and developing transportation engineering systems; studying the efficiency of transportation systems operation and management; studying and planning of transportation safety; applications of transportation research findings and guidance; liaison and cooperation of local and foreign transportation research; collection, compilation, translation and dissemination of transportation information; studying harbor and Maritime technologies and providing suggestions, and the other matters related to transportation research.

Iomob

Iomob has developed a Mobility on Demand (MOD/MaaS) Platform allowing public and private enterprise customers to offer seamless multimodal mobility to their users and employees. Iomob enables rail operators, transit authorities, airlines and other organizations to support seamless door-to-door, global mobility roaming. Our platform flexibility allows clients to leverage our plug and play marketplace via our API, native SDKs including UX/UI and/or a white label app. Combined with Iomob’s proprietary journey planner, users can discover, plan, book and pay for mobility services across Europe and a growing list of international locations. Iomob supports a holistic, agnostic approach to business models and modes of mobility, enabling pay as you go, subscription and bundling options and supports a growing range of modes of mobility, including taxis, micromobility, transit, rail, on-demand vehicles but also private cars and EV charging in multimodal journeys.

For the past 30 years we have focused solely on the transport ticketing industry, and we continuously strive to be innovative leaders. With projects in more than 200 cities across the globe, we are passionate about providing a better customer journey.

SierraCar

SierraCar is a public funded Mobility as a Service / On-Demand Transport provider on Madrid’s Community north rural territory, connecting isolated, small areas with bigger municipalities and transport hubs. With a current (and growing) 11.000 population on 30 villages (plans to expand to 42 municipalities during 2021), SierraCar provides Demand Responsive Transport using local taxic services. 

 

New Members 2020

1st Mobility

1st Mobility enables companies to establish a customised and modern mobility programme for their employees. For this purposes 1st Mobility has developed a unique IT-solution – the Mobility Configurator – combining mobility and wider benefit features, hence our claim “Mobility meets Benefit”. Our Mobility Configurator Solution supports each employee to configurate their individual mobility package within the boundaries of the corporate mobility policy, which can be fully reflected in the tool. 1st Mobility hereby acts as a neutral Mobility Enabler, connecting companies to their selected mobility solution suppliers. Additionally, our mobility experts support the development and implementation phase of your mobility programme based on 3 further solutions: mobility profiler tool, mobility policy design and the selection of mobility solution. 1st Mobility is following a “sharing” approach by also offering the platform as white-label-product to other mobility solution providers.

5T

5T is a local government-owned company aimed at supporting the local authorities in the governance of smart and sustainable mobility. Its shareholders are the City of Torino, the Piemonte Region and the Metropolitan City of Torino. 5T has the mission to enable a public-driven governance process for the future mobility, in order to reach global societal and environmental goals and to promote an enjoyable user experience, benefiting from the strong upcoming innovations in public and private mobility services. 5T coordinates the local strategic programmes aimed at enabling the Mobility as a Service (MaaS) paradigm in an open eco-system for the urban and metropolitana area of Torino and for the whole Piemonte region. 5T launched, on behalf of Piemonte Regione, a new MaaS project, called “BIPforMaaS”, in charge to address all the topics related to MaaS deployment, such as stakeholders engagement, user needs, regulatory frameworks, governance and business models, technology platforms.

Aachen University

The Institute for Automotive Engineering (ika) – RWTH Aachen University is one of the leading academic automotive research institutes in Europe. Located close to the Belgian and Dutch borders, internationality, diversity and multidisclipinarity are ubiquitous in everyday life and work at RWTH.
More than 150 employees develop the automotive future at the ika research facilities at RWTH Aachen University. Besides the research activities with automotive background one fast growing field of research is mobility. The ika does research on fields as traffic simulation, mobility behavior, traffic psychology and mobility business models.

 

Aalto University

Brose

Brose is the world’s fourth-largest family-owned automotive supplier. The company develops and produces mechatronic systems for vehicle doors and seats as well as electric motors, drives and electronics, among others for steering, brakes, transmissions and engine cooling. Approximately 26,000 employees at 64 locations in 24 countries generate turnover of 6.2 billion euros. Worldwide, every second new vehicle is equipped with at least one Brose product.

Car Rental Gateway

Car Rental Gateway has been steering e-commerce solutions in car rental distribution software since 2001. Their experience lies in bringing together mobility providers and travel distributors, including online travel agents, comparison sites, airlines, and car rental brokers. Car Rental Gateway consolidates most of the car rental operators on the market into a unified customised service line that covers all biggest language groups and considers principles of any locale in the world. With their solution, the traditional car rental can be integrated into seamless and global multimodal transportation solutions. Car Rental Gateway has technical capability of highly scalable solutions that enable either on-demand or pre-booked rental service to be combined into a single full service platform or into any MaaS provider platform.

CityWay

Cityway is an IT company which provides MaaS white label solutions for public transport authorities and their travelers. We help our clients shape the mobility of the future and implement their MaaS strategies. We address today’s mobility challenges with our innovative solutions:

Cycling Industries Europe

Cycling Industries Europe is the European Association for cycling businesses, uniting all sectors of the industry including manufacturers, bike sharing operators, logistics companies, ITS providers and consultancies. Cycling is at the forefront of transport change in Europe, offering an active transport choice for decarbonisation, reduced congestion, improved last mile access and better public health. Through MaaS cycling businesses can ensure that all cities and citizens have a low cost, healthy option available at all times. Bike sharing is the leading form of shared mobility for inner cities and our connected e-bikes offer zero emissions travel solutions across cities. Combined with public transport folded, shared and rented bikes offer affordable MaaS solutions for all. Cycling also offers alternative transport choice for local deliveries through cargo bikes, pedicabs and courier services which can replace short car trips for goods.

Flemish Department of Mobility and Public Works

The Flemish Department of Mobility and Public Works (DMOW) is responsible for creating a long-term vision on sustainable mobility in the Flemish region of Belgium, for monitoring and implementing the regional mobility policy. Furthermore the department supports the management and exploitation of the Flemish transport and port infrastructure and plays a coordinating role in following-up the European transport policy.

Feonix

Feonix deploys Mobility as a Service networks with a emphasis on user centric inclusive design. WE believe in creating mobility ecosystems with community leaders supporting underserved individuals – as a seniors, individuals with a disability, refugees, and family living in poverty. We have a global mission to remove transport poverty through community based engagement and state of the art technology.

Hitachi

Hitachi delivers digital solutions utilizing Lumada in five sectors including Mobility, Smart Life, Industry, Energy and IT, to increase our customers’ social, environmental and economic value, and to simultaneously improve the quality of life for all. In accordance with its mission, “Contribute to society through the development of superior, original technology and products,” Hitachi has responded to the expectations of society and its customers through innovation. In mobility field, Hitachi has developed and provided products and systems for railway operators and OEMs for over 50 years. Hitachi will contribute to future mobility with total solutions based on the strengths of the operational technology (OT), IT and products cultivated through our development experience in collaboration with MaaS Alliance members.

INFO SUPPORT

Info Support produces high-end custom software solutions for companies engaged in healthcare, energy, fintech, agritech, and mobility. From our facilities in the Netherlands and Belgium a dedicated business unit consisting of highly educated engineers have specific focus on IT solutions for the Dutch public transportation system. Info Support specializes in designing, building, managing and integrating highly complex core systems of our customers. Our customers are the most important mobility providers in the Netherlands. We also provide our customers with assistance in their digital transformation and transition to MaaS. With our broad experience in multiple market segments, we have a lot to share. In addition to our mobility-related achievements, Info Support has successfully implemented designs for all secure payments for Dutch Healthcare, delivered a platform for all data exchange between housing corporations and their suppliers, and much more.

INSTANT System

Created in 2013, INSTANT System provides MaaS platforms in white label for public authorities and public transport operators. Its “Wave” and “Move” modular products have been selected by more than 60 territories. INSTANT System’s customers build their own MaaS composing with a large library of modules, including a predictive intermodal journey planner or advanced ticketing connectors. With INSTANT System’s solutions, MaaS becomes the major vector for a mobility policy.

JCoMaaS

JCoMaaS is an organization established to lead innovation to mobility and city services. JCoMaaS shares industry and government knowledge related to Mobility as a Service (MaaS) and mobility services in Japan.
While MaaS implementation is progressing in various countries around the world, the organization’s goal is to implement MaaS in a way that matches Japanese society, ultimately creating a service that with an international competitive advantage. Through collaborating with multiple Japanese transportation service providers who are well-versed in dealing with highly complex mobility services, we believe our services can bring tremendous value to Japan and the rest of the world.

Japanese MLIT

The Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) launched a new Mobility Service Division on July 2019 to promote MaaS in Japan and abroad. MaaS is one of the most effective ways to improve transportation and mobility in various areas. MLIT is currently supporting 19 pilot projects, including 6 regional city type, 5 rural type and 8 tourism-related. At the end of these projects, MLIT will analyse the results and implement a new policy to develop MaaS.

MOIA Ridesharing

MOIA is a mobility company, part of the Volkswagen Group, that develops mobility solutions for urban areas. Our mission is to contribute to a fundamental shift in how people move in cities. We are currently providing the fully electric service in Europe, namely in Hamburg. We also operate in Hanover and London. We see ourselves as partners of cities and local transport operators to help cities reducing private transport and emissions and improving road efficiency.

Metropolitan Transportation Commission

The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) is a public, governmental agency responsible for planning, financing and coordinating transportation. We are the metropolitan planning organization for the nine-county San Francisco Bay Area, a federal designation, and the regional transportation planning agency for the Bay Area, a state designation. MTC supports the streets, roads, highways, transit systems, airports and other transportation resources that help region’s 7 million residents and visitors get to where they need to be. The movement of goods through the region’s ports, roads and freight rail lines also falls within our scope. MTC works in partnership with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), the California Highway Patrol, 101 cities, nine counties, more than two dozen public transit agencies, county congestion management agencies, and many others to keep the Bay Area moving — for residents, visitors and businesses alike.

Queensland - Transport and Main Roads

The Department of Transport and Main Roads, Queensland, is responsible for creating a single integrated transport network accessible to everyone within the State. We plan, manage and deliver Queensland’s integrated transport environment to achieve sustainable transport solutions for road, rail, air and sea. Our key priorities over the coming years are focused on the future, not just the future of transport but the future of mobility. We are proactively leading and responding to growing customer expectations, new mobility providers and technology disruptions, with an established and dedicated program exploring Mobility as a Service within the department. This exploration phase demonstrates our commitment to innovation, putting customers first, being a responsive government and ensuring Queensland’s transport network remains effective, efficient and safe for all customers.

RATP Group

With 16 million journeys every day across the world, RATP Group is one of the leading urban transport operators in the world. The Group operates in 12 countries on 4 continents through its RATP Dev subsidiary and each day runs 8 modes of transport: metros, urban and inter-city bus services, sightseeing, transport on demand. The Group is also present across the entire spectrum of new mobility services in partnership with 5 other modes (electric scooters, car-sharing, car-pooling and driverless shuttle services). As a widely-hailed expert in infrastructure management and engineering, the Group also fields a broad range of urban services through its subsidiaries customised passenger information, innovative ticketing solutions. Thanks to its 64,000 staff members, RATP Group designs, implements and runs mobility solutions and innovative services each day for sustainable and more human towns and cities.

Region Värmland

Region Värmland is the Public Transport Authority in Värmland, Sweden, working to achieve a long-term sustainable growth by increasing sustainable mobility in the country, both in terms of usability and travel opportunities.

Solent Transport

Solent Transport works with local authorities in South Hampshire and the Isle of Wight to deliver innovative transport projects and programmes, strategic modelling and partnership. We have been awarded funding from several UK government programmes including future transport zones and the transforming cities fund. We are dedicated to improving customer choice and experience and to making the solent a great place to live, work and invest.

Tampere University

Transport Research Centre Verne at Tampere University is a research group of about 10 professionals in transport and logistics. Verne networks actively both internationally and in Finland. Our core is to endevour towards a more sustainable transport system and to educate professionals to this field. Verne’s research and education focus on transport system and logistics. We consider both passenger and freight transport in connection with the needs of people, business and society at large, the built environment and the infrastructure, transport policy and economics, and the development especially from the point of view of sustainability. Verne has organized International Conference on Mobility as a Service (ICoMaaS) twice in the years 2017 and 2019 in Tampere, Finland. Verne’s MaaS-related research activities relate especially to end-user perspective and MaaS’ effects on the transport system.

University of Surrey

The University of Surrey is a world-class, research-led university committed to research excellence. In the 2017 Teaching Excellence Framework, the University was awarded Gold, the highest grade achievable. The University specialises in science, engineering, health, management, tourism and transport. The Department of Tourism & Transport is within the renowned School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, which was ranked second in the UK and among the top-5 globally in 2020. The Research Assessment Exercise confirmed that Surrey continues to consolidate its strength as a world-class, research-intensive institution with 90% of its research activity rated either ‘world-class’ or ‘internationally excellent’. The University of Surrey is a member of the Association of MBAs as well as a member of the University Global Partnership Network, setting out to create a foundation for international collaboration across continents enabling academics and students from some of the world’s top universities to work together on issues of global importance.
