Kyyti partners with Masabi to deliver best-of-breed Mobility-as-a-Service Apps

Masabi, the company bringing Fare Payments-as-a-Service to public transport and Kyyti, a leading innovator in the area of demand responsive services and Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS), today announced that they have formed a partnership to provide best-of-breed Mobility-as-a-Service applications to transport authorities, agencies and operators around the globe.

The two companies will deliver seamless first/last mile journeys for users by combining Kyyti’s white label MaaS applications, which provide shared private mobility and demand responsive services, journey planning and payment, with in-app transit ticketing powered by Masabi’s Justride SDK, allowing customers to buy tickets anytime, anywhere in Kyyti’s apps.

Both companies are Mobility as a Service pioneers and their combined expertise will help revolutionize the transit experience for users around the globe, helping people to leave their cars at home and ride public/private shared mobility options. The first joint deployment will be live in the next few months, with further deployments set to go live during 2020/21.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Masabi to help make MaaS a reality by facilitating full first/last mile journeys” said Pekka Möttö, CEO of Kyyti. “We believe in making every day commuting more convenient and more sustainable for riders around the world. Working with Masabi allows us to offer passenger information alongside seamless mobile ticketing, all within one app, which we think is key to encouraging more people to use public transit services.”

“At Masabi our goal has always been to revolutionize public transit, making the rider experience as easy and intuitive as possible. We look forward to working with Kyyti to enable Practical MaaS and improve the accessibility and discoverability of public transport services around the world.” said Brian Zanghi CEO of Masabi.
